In LUCA School Of Arts we get to work very conceptional. The thinking process overpowers the digital or offline outcome. This steers my thinking proces to go even further.
During my current job at Rebooth I got to know the world of designing exhibition stands, I love it!

Custom closet​
​
I started my internship at Edge Design Studio, Ghent. My first assignment was to make a technical drawing of costum made closet.

Urban design. 18x27m.
​
In the heart of Brussels, between two big buildings, we where asked to design a place where inhabitants could gather.
​
After some research I came to realize that they are a lot of different nationalities in this big city. Based on this I did research on plants and herbs and trees that could grow in this city with other "origins". Like a fig has in multiple religions a symbolic meaning and it also grows in Morocco, Tunisia, Spain,... I see at as an organism that is relatable and transnational.

We got a small room (10x5,5m) to decorate an appartement for a single person. ​
​
We had to work around 3 big obstacles since there where 3 columns that contained wires and pipes.
​
I was inspired by the forest, seeing the columns as trees with multifunctional features.

For some conceptual work we had to create an interior based on women rights.
​
I made a couple of outcomes but this is my favorite.
​
Our inspiration was Virginia Woolf and Sara Ahmed.

On of our first assignments was to create a studio for an artist.
​
Since I had this beautiful location, my main goal was to attract passengers. So I created a linework that came from "outside" to the "inside". The linework became functional.

Laser prep
Our first assignment was to conceptional create a space for students in a dorm.
​
I wanted the student to have her own space that she could open and close at any time. I wanted to create an atmosphere where she could live like if she where a fairy in a flower.

I wanted to create a sculpture that interacts with nature. ​

A dome that communicates with the sun and the position of the observer.
